Diamond Materials is working hand-in-hand with Scarborough Maine. Together we have developed a clean transport system for dredging spoils. Dredging is accomplished with an excavator and placed in floating “hoppers” then a clam-shell bucket places the sediment into dump trucks. The dump trucks are equipped with waterproof seals, mud locks and drip gutters to prevent the soupy sediment from leaking out onto the roads. Using this method the sediment can be moved via roadways in a clean manner. The benefit is dredge spoils can be recycled for agricultural use as well as construction application. This is a more environmentally conscience approach versus just taking the spoils to a disposal site. Please watch the video to learn more.
